The most important resource in our school is the team of people we have gathered to carry out this ministry. Our team currently consists of a pastor, preschool director, principal, preschool assistant, early childhood teacher, two elementary teachers, school administration assistant and French teacher (PT). Each staff member is an active Christian. The principal and all teachers are certified to teach in Alberta. All are dedicated to providing the best possible educational experience for each child according to their needs.
King of Kings Lutheran School will eventually be housed in new facilities on our property. These will be constructed when the school population is larger.
At present we are housed in our large church complex. We expect to remain here for at least the next five years.
We enjoy two acres of grassed playing area around the church, complemented by our playground which is being installed in 2011.
We take the children to a nearby gym for physical education during the winter months.
Our library is housed in its own building near the church.
Since the electronic media are now a major source of information and work activities, we help the children develop computer skills in conjunction with all subject areas. In the earlier grades there will be classroom sets of computers.
All classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards.
The school will rigorously pursue ongoing developments in this area of learning, and work to keep on the leading edge of the technology.
